Early Intervention Program: Department of Public Health transportation is for children (birth to age 3) with developmental difficulties attending Early Intervention Programs.
MART continues to provide transportation brokerage for the Department of Public Health (DPH), Early Intervention Programs (EIP) for approximately $1.8 million for the transportation. We accomplish this through a quoting process and brokerage with twenty (20) private transportation providers.
In FY05, we currently transport 1230 children from birth to age three, to 191 Early Intervention Programs, the majority of which are in the Greater Boston area, attend Natural Environment sites or Community sites. These sites are the segway of Early Intervention sites which are used by both community groups with parent/caregivers attending as well as toddler child only community groups.
